Many thanks to Anne & Dean Mims and "Because We Should" for the Dog-On-IT fund-raiser on September 8th at the Ward 3 Dog Park!  Anne is active military (Navy) and planned the event from her duty station in Europe!  She scheduled everything to occur while she and Dean were home on leave.  LAPAW fosters have been treated to food, treats, new bowls, leashes, collars, and $$.  We so much appreciate the big hearts that planned and participated! We still have photos to post both here and on our fb page. We so much appreciate their kindnesses!

Our Pets of the Month
We are always in need of foster homes!  The more foster homes we have the more animals we can save.  We provide all medical care and food if needed.  If you would care to make a difference in the lives of homeless pets, fostering is a wonderful way to do it! To foster (dogs or cats), please call our remote line and leave a message.

SPECIAL THANKS!!
To the Pelican Coast Parrotheads for their generous donation!
Niblet
This pretty girl has had quite a lot to deal with in her short life! She is a 6 lb Siamese mix with beautiful blue eyes and silver tabby markings. Pictures don't do her justice! She was found by a Good Samaritan at one of the casinos with her tail torn off. We know she is a trooper because she has been through whatever tore off the tail, a major infection, weeks of laser treatments and antibiotics and took it all in stride. She is ready to begin a new life. She easily bonds with her person and loves dogs and people. She is an inside only cat.
Senior pet of the month
 Digmund Freud (Diggy)
A real sweetheart! Digmund Freud, aka Diggy, is a love! Arriving at the end of February, he has made himself to home in his foster placement. A senior boy (about 7), he has gray in his muzzle but has lots of living left with lots of love to give.  He is a sound sleeper and his preference is to be under the covers. If you are interested in Diggy, perhaps to foster through treatment, call or email us! He is certain to bring joy to your heart and home.
