	Lil' Buddy Lil' Buddy is a real sweetie who is currently in foster care and waiting for a forever family. ADOPTED*.

	Cocoa Cocoa is a 6-7 month old Australian Shepherd (maybe a mix) female that is just a great all around pet. She is house trained, affectionate, smart, and a very well behaved dog. She needs to be an indoor/outdoor dog. She also needs a big yard to play in. She rides well in a car and walks gently on a leash. She is waiting for her forever family to adopt her and give her lots of love. ADOPTED*.

	Carson Carson is a loving young male who is looking that someone special to love him back. He is fawn in color with a black muzzle. He is high energy when let out in the yard so he has been running my old dogs ragged. He should not get any larger that he is now so he is a small medium dog approx. 15 pounds. He is house trained and sleeps in a kennel at night after a little protest.( He would rather sleep with you). I will be posting his picture soon. He would do better in a home with no cats since he thinks that they are the perfect toy to chase. He has not tried to hurt one but loves to chase them since they run and the old dogs will not. 	Twister This little fellow is different from any I have ever seen. He is brindle in color but he has a wire-haired coat. Very loving he has had a hard time, we got him on the day he was to be put down at the local shelter. We have been working on crate-training and house breaking this little boy and he is doing well. 	Angel Angel was found by one of our group just before Christmas. She is a real sweet girl that just needs a home. Black in color she has speckled feet white to add some color. She would love to have someone to play with her everyday. ADOPTED*.

	Twinkie Oh my, Twinkie is on for the books!!!! She is brown and white. We have been told that she is approx. 4 years old. She has a sweet square face with perky ears that flop down. She has the build of a basset hound. She had a litter of pups in November, and now she is ready for a family of her own. Twinkie needs either a foster or forever family. Ref# 138 UPDATE: Twinkie has heartworms. She will be treated in Feb. She should have a good recovery. ADOPTED*.

	Lacy Lacy is a female wire terrier that is eight years old. She is calm and affectionate and gets along with other dogs very well. She is trained and kennel trained as well. She has always been an inside dog and needs to find a loving home to live out the rest of her days. She is up to date on all shots and has been spayed. She is a little clown and loves to raise that one ear up to let you know how happy and curious she is. She is a sweetheart that needs a forever home so she can snuggle up with her new family. 	Joe pure bred Australian Shepherd This boy is about 9 months - 1 years old . He is very handsome and loves to be petted. He is timid but good with people and other dogs. He is a calm aussie and a real sweetheart. He is neutered and has all shots and is looking for a loving home to give him lots of attention and love. He will give unconditional love and be a very devoted companion to someone. ADOPTED*.

	Pat pure bred Australian Shepherd This boy is about 9months - 1 year old. He is very handsome and calm and obedient. He is a sweet, sweet guy who has been neutered and has all shots and is ready to go to his forever home. He would make a great companion for someone. ADOPTED*.

	Eddy - Rare Breed Dog Eddie is a Drever, one of the most popular breeds in Sweden. He as born in Sweden and trained in South Africa. Rescued from the South African Mine Dog Company, Eddy worked in war torn countries around the world locating buried land mines and saving human lives. Eddy is a first-class tracker. He's a friendly dog who loves handlers and will curl up in your like a cat. He is two years old, neutered, heartworm free and up to date on all of his shots. Eddy is a special needs dog because he needs to be the only dog in your home. His foster caregiver will screen potential adopters and do a home visit before placement, as Eddy is valuable because of his training and is one of two Drevers in America. ADOPTED*.

	Toby Joe Toby Joe, a small to medium size terrier mix (who looks like he is kin to McDougal, a LAPAW graduate), is currently in foster care. He is heartworm negative, neutered, current on all shots, and is Mr. Personality Plus. ADOPTED*.

	Blackie He is a very smart dog who is about 1-2 years old. He is tall and big for a lab and almost has a coat like a flat coated retriever. He is friendly, easy to walk on a leash, knows commands like sit, stay, etc. He loves people and is good with other dogs, don't know about cats. He is good traveling in a kennel as well but of course it has to be a large kennel. He has all shots including rabies, was heartworm negative, and has been neutered. He is ready to go to a loving home and become a wonderful pet and companion for someone. ADOPTED*.

	Cheyenne Cheyenne is an 8 year old female pure corgi that is a perfect little dog. She is housetrained, she is calm, she is loving, she is funny and she is beautiful. She was turned in by a breeder after years of providing wonderful puppies because she had a skin condition. The skin condition is curable and is clearing up with medication. She will be spayed soon and will be ready for a loving home to live out her years in a happy place. ADOPTED*.

Emma and Shep Emma is a 5-6 month old Terrier mix currently in foster care. She has an extremely sweet personality and is eager to please. She is spayed, current on all shots, and heartworm negative. Her alien eyes are a result of the camera angle. In real life, she has beautiful black and brown eyes. Shep, a German Shepherd mix was pulled from the death wagon at CPAC. When he was picked up by the volunteer, he locked his front legs around her neck, as if to say thank you! Although he has GS markings, he will likely be a small to medium sized adult. He is heartworm negative, neutered, and up-to-date on all shots. He will be happy to be the love of your life forever. He is an exceptionally sweet and loving fellow. He gets along well with other dogs and would make a great companion. Emma and Shep are very dependent on each other and will need to be adopted as a pair. Only one adoption fee will apply. ADOPTED*.

	Clarice Clarice is an 8 month old female Chihuahua mix. She is up to date on all her shots. She is scheduled to be spayed on December 6, 2004. She is very friendly and looks as though she is smiling when she is getting attention. She loves everyone. We named her Clarice after Rudolph's girlfriend, in the name of the Christmas spirit. 	Beau Beau is a Basset Mix male approximate 2 years old. He will be neutered before he is placed and he will need his rabies shot. He has had his 7 in one shot and has been wormed and he is heartworm negative. He is short but a medium size dog. He is currently an outside dog but could easily learn to be an inside dog. He is good with children and adults and some other dogs but we don't know about cats. He has a lot of energy and would love to have some other dogs or people to play with him. Beau was abandoned and then found and nursed back to health by his foster mom. He is looking for a forever home. ADOPTED*.

	Ruby Ruby is a 2 year old Lab mix. This beautiful girl has been spayed, is up to date on shots and heartworm negative. She is full of energy and will need a large fenced in yard. We are working on her social skills as she likes to jump and pull your shirt when she is excited. After you gain her trust, you have a friend for life. 	Sam Sam is a 10 month old Lab cross--he appears to be all Lab except for a curled tail. Sam is handsome, loving, active, and will fetch a ball until he drops. He loves to play and gets along well with other dogs. Rescued as a stray, he is heartworm negative, has been neutered, and has all shots. Sam has been in foster care for four months. He is ready for obedience training and ready to go to a good home with a fenced yard and patience for his activity level. ADOPTED*.

	George George is a male Beagles from Sulphur Animal Control. He has all shots, has been neutered and has his rabies tag as well. He is ready for a foster or forever home. He is good with people and is not more than a year old. He was an owner surrender. Please give him a foster home or a forever home. ADOPTED*.

	Barkely Barkely recently entered foster care from Sulphur Animal Control. He is a pure-bred Sable Cocker Spaniel and is a darling. He is accustomed to walking on a leash and is crate trained. He is current on shots and will be neutered prior to being adopted. He is about a year old but is heartworm positive. Because he is very thin, his HW treatment will span two months rather than the usual one month and he will be on high a high protein diet to build up his strength. It is possible that he could be adopted prior to the two month HW treatment period but his "forever" must be committed to seeing him through the treatments. When finished, he is expected to be as good as new. ADOPTED*.

	Buford Buford is a young male shaggy dog. He looks like an oversized Benji. He is about 65 -70 pounds and quite tall. He is being treated for a broken toe and heartworms currently but he will be ready around November 15th for adoption. He plays well with other female dogs or smaller male dogs. He is friendly and full of energy and likes a big back yard. He will be easy to train because he loves to please his person. He needs someone to take him and give him attention and training. He will be a great companion to someone who likes big shaggy friendly dogs. ADOPTED*

	Red Red is a male about one year old. He is a little clown and loves to wag his tail and greet you. He has been neutered and has all his shots. He is undergoing heartworm treatment but should be well soon. He is a fast little guy that just loves all people. He doesn't meet a stranger and he is so cute. Please help him find a loving home. He was dumped on a country road with his brother Buttons. ADOPTED*

	Sugar Sugar is a white English Setter/Spaniel mix. Sugar is a 2 year old female who is spayed and has had all her shots including rabies. She is very sweet and people-friendly. She loves to run and play in the back yard and needs a nice fenced in yard to play in. She is shy with other dogs but just needs a few minutes to warm up to dog buddies. She rides in the car without a crate and is very mild mannered and so beautiful. She needs a loving home to call her own. ADOPTED*

	Emmett This little guy taking a little rest--he left Suplhur AC, made a stop at Lake Area Animal Hospital for shots, and finally arrived at his new foster home. The staff at SAC was very gracious to hold him until a foster home was available. He is a Jack Russell/Rat Terrier cross and is 8-9 months old. He is HW negative and will be neutered prior to being adopted. He appeared to be very hyper at SAC but is now very calm at home. He has adapted well to crate training but loves to be held and brushed. His coat is white with brown and he has beautiful eyes. Such a sweet face and temperament is sure to make his "forever" smile ADOPTED*

	Fizzle Fizzle is about 3 years old, has had all of his shots, and has been neutered. He is also heartworm negative. This little guy has had his share of bad luck. He was picked up by CPAC due to a domestic violence conflict. Upon his arrival, he did not want to be touched by anyone and had a hard time adjusting. Thanks to the efforts of the CPAC staff and a LAPAW volunteer, Fizzle blossomed into a cute little character that will win your heart. He is currently in foster care and continues to improve. He still tends to be cranky around other dogs and would probably like to be your "Only." He has loads and loads of love to give! ADOPTED*

	Whitman Whitman, 2 year old Chocolate Lab has recovered completely and is heading north to live in Milford, CT, thanks to Labs4Rescue. Please note: for every 10 Labs saved by L4R, at least 100 are killed due to the severe overpopulation of Labs in Southwest LA. PLEASE don't breed your Labs and add to the numbers. ADOPTED*

	Jackson Why is this boy smiling? Because he is in foster care hoping for a forever home to happen soon. He is about a year old, heartworm negative, has all of his shots, and has been neutered. Jack, a Rat Terrier, is a little shy at first but warms up quickly. His preference is to be your "only." In return, he promises to give you lots of love and hugs and kisses every day. ADOPTED*

	Mattie Mattie is a one year old pure bred female Pembroke Welsh Corgi. She is a loving little one who is just learning how to be a happy dog. She was kept in a cage by a breeder for the first year of her life. She was rescued along with her male partner named Max. Max was adopted but Mattie needs a little tender love and care to get well enough to go to her forever home. She has a skin condition that is clearing up and she will be spayed in a few weeks; then she will be ready for her new family. She is so sweet and playful and so good! She is learning her potty training and is doing well with that. She is quiet for such a young lady but she loves people and kids and other dogs. She is good with cats too. She loves to snuggle and to take naps at your feet. She follows her foster mom from room to room and just is content to be in the same room. She likes to go outside and play in the yard chasing the lizards but she is mostly an indoor dog. She needs a loving family to take her home and give her lots of love. ADOPTED*

	Roscoe This big sweetie was surrendered to be euthanized because his owners were going out of town and didn't have anyone to leave him with. Roscoe is a boxer mix, and currently in foster care. His foster mom reports that he is as sweet as can be. Please give Roscoe the forever home that he deserves. ADOPTED*

	Trixie Trixie is a three year old Cardigan Welsh Corgi mix. She is a female that has been spayed and has all her shots including rabies. She is a very affectionate dog and is a joy to have in the house. She is playful, smart, well behaved, and an excellent indoor dog. She has a doggie door and goes outside to potty. She might need training to let someone know she needs to go outside to potty since now she can just go thru the doggie door whenever she needs to go.Trxie loves to play with the other dogs in the house both large and small like the big 90 pound lab and the other small corgi mix. She doesn't even seem to notice the cat. She sleeps right next to the cat and has never bothered her. She rides well in a car and does well in public places. She is somewhat shy when out in public. Trixie was thrown out of a car out in the country up by DeQuincy. An elderly lady tried to catch her for two weeks while she was growing thinner every day. Finally she came to the woman and she brought her to LAPAW because she could not afford to have her spayed and get her shots. The woman had helped Trixie learn to trust people again and she was a loving dog when she came into rescue with LAPAW. This "throw-away" beautiful loving girl needs a forever home where she will give her owners unconditional love. ADOPTED*

	Chuck Chuck is a male lab/golden retriever mix that has been neutered and has all his shots including rabies. He is ready to go to a loving home. He is a beautiful male that weighs about 85 pounds and is just a big old lovable guy. He is sweet natured and loves to play with all the other dogs in the house. He doesn't bother the cat and he loves children and adults too. He is house trained and never has an accident. He likes to lay at your feet and to greet you with a big old tail wagging when you come home. He is left in the house unkenneled and he never has done anything bad. He is such a good dog and well behaved. He will do "sit" and "go lay down" . He walks well on a leash and rides well in the car. He has the softest fur coat and he is very handsome. He is always happy and always kind to everyone. Chuck was in the death wagon headed to the gas chamber at Animal Control when we pulled him out and had him treated for heartworms. He was extremely thin and not feeling well at all. He now is fully recovered but needs to be an inside/outdoor dog. He cannot be an outdoor only dog. *ADOPTED*

	Dundee This little Westie mix didn't last long! After one week in foster care, he was adopted at the Rainbow Adoption Day. *ADOPTED*

	Watson This precious, friendly little guy just moved into foster care from CPAC. He is neutered and has had all shots. He will shortly begin heartworm treatment but will be at PetsMart to check out potential "forevers." He is tri-colored (and will soon have a new haircut), medium sized, and gets along well with other dogs. He does not seem to be bothered by cats. He is also beginning crate training in his new foster home. *ADOPTED*

	Socks This sweet girl is a boxer mix who was surrendered by an elderly man who was facing surgery and could find no one to take his dog. Socks is now in foster care and is a wonderful dog--friendly with children and very loving. She is quite like a big teddy bear. *ADOPTED*

	Snoopette Female lemon and white beautiful young beagle girl at CPPJ Animal Control that also needs a home. She is very people friendly and is so sweet. She is very pretty. She needs a foster home or a forever home soon too. *ADOPTED*

	Scraps This is Scraps. As you can see from the cast on his leg, this young fellow is recovering from a broken leg, likely from a run-in with a car. He is currently a happy boy in foster care and is recovering nicely. He will be ready for adoption as soon as his leg heals and he is able to get shots and his neuter surgery. He is a really sweet boy who would love to be an "only" dog. *ADOPTED*

	Dixie This Southern charmer has been through her share of difficulties. Rescued from a local animal control facility, she had a severe case of ringworm. After recovering from that, she made it through a round of parvo. Just when everyone thought she had completely recovered, she developed an infection in a knee. Now, finally, she is healthy and happy. She appears to be a purebred Pitt puppy and will need a special "forever" to see that she gets the love and attention that she needs. Dixie is already spayed, and ready to be adopted. *ADOPTED*

	Romeo Hi, my name is Romeo. My foster mom named me that because I just love everyone. I am a 10 month old possible border collie or rat terrier mix. I am kennel trained, and rarely bark. I am super easy to walk on a leash - I don't pull you down the street. I have been neutered, am current on all shots, and heartworm negative. As you can see, I'm a little guy, weighing less than 20 pounds. I am gentle and get along well with all other dogs. 	Luci Luci, wonderfully sweet Beagle mx—4-5 years old. Currently undergoing heartworm treatment and dental work but will be ready to go home (in excellent health) with you by the 1^st of October.
